Tour Of Our Shop

I would like to take the time to introduce the people behind the scene. I would be lost without their help and support. You may have spoken to one of us so let us say hello today! First is myself, GREG KERR. Owner of THE TV SHOP

Next is Twila Kerr, my wife. She is responsible for the accounting department. She keeps in touch with all the manufacturers and their ever changing policies. She also supervises 2 support people. She also cooks, cleans, and all that stuff. Thank you Mrs. Kerr!

Her office help, and I might add, they do a fantastic job, is left Diane Kepple, and on the right is Pat Hines. Diane orders the parts and does some bookkeeping. Diane has been here 17 years and retired in 2008 but still comes in part time to help out. Special thanks to Diane. Pat answers the phone, handles our warranty claims, does UPS shipping and some bookkeeping. She has been with us for over 10 years and always has a smile to greet our customers. Twila, Diane and Pat know more about the paperwork than I do. Thanks girls!

The Manager of our Ohio shop is Howard Kerr Jr. Howard gives 110% everyday. He takes care of over 40 accounts in central Ohio. He dedicates many extra hours into making his branch run efficiently. Howard is an excellent service technician and is my brother. It is not unusual to find Howard driving 250 miles to our main location to take care of one of his customers. Thanks Howard!

Next are the technicians working at out Indiana, Pa. location. First, on the left, is the shop foreman Archie Dixon. Center is Patrick Pecany, and to the right is Brian Mohoney. Archie has been at The TV Shop for over 15 years and has retired from the Airforce. He really takes a lot of the load from me. He does a fine job and is well liked and respected by his fellow employee's. He plans to retire in 2010 and spend time with his family. Patrick is my son-in-law and is our newest employee. He has picked up the trade very quickly. He has an Amateur radio license that gave him his electronics background and has been with us for 3 years. He started by installing other tech's part orders and quickly was able to work on his own. He now can repair about any LCD or plasma units brought in for repair. He has attended training on LCD technology with Sony, Sharp, LG, and others. He also helps me with the Altoona, Pa branch of our business. Brian has been here for over 18 years and has over 30 years of experience. He started out with us on the road doing in-home service. He now is the lead technician in the TV department. He gets all the tuff ones! Thanks guys!

Our audio/video department is on the second floor of our building. Left is Henry Hobart, and Right is Dave Sprankle. Henry also has his Amateur radio license and has been with us for 7 years. He has been repairing radios and stereo equipment for about 15 years and has attended many training seminars on audio. Dave has also been with us for over 20 years and has over 35 years of experience. He started with audio, and video repairs. As the business grew, Dave started repairing more audio and camcorders, but also keeps our computer system running on our local network. He also repairs the computers that are sent in for repair. He has attended many training schools and now specializes in just video products. Dave is the lead technician in the audio/video department. Thanks guys!

John Pennington is our in home service technician. He has been with The TV SHOP for about 9 years. His education of electronics started in high school and he received his hands on training with us and also at Sony Corporation in Mt. Pleasant, Pa. John can do most minor repairs on site, but with today's technology, the majority of the products require special test equipment that we keep in the shop. John knows all the common repairs needed to give great service to our customers requiring in home service calls. Thanks John!
